Kraft Plus Challenge - The Puzzle

Hi & Welcome to those dropping in.

Well this Challenge was down to the wire, its been an absolutely hectic month!!!  I first started this page when I was away at a scrapping camp, I borrowed someone's jigsaw punch with an idea in mind but didn't get to finish.  When I did finally get around to finishing it, I didn't have the punch, so I had to totally start from scratch and ended in a completely different direction.

Here is my Take!!!

Picture is of my son taking the challenge, of eating a mammoth burger that he purchased for dinner one night at Burrum Heads.  It was way bigger than what we expected and even defeated my sons ability to inhale food.

I used quite a bit of gesso and mists along with a Scrapmatts template for the background.
After re-thinking my puzzle piece I had to pull out my old Coluzzle templates, wow who thought these would ever get another days work.  I not only used the piece I cut out, I also cut around the negative that was left behind and glued down also.  I also cut some pieces out of some kraft resist cardstock I had, love the way the mist colours it and the pattern then shows up.

As always I love a fun challenge and I it was even more fun challenging myself not to use flowers and ribbons, mostly because my sons does not appreciate these on his pages!!!  Not manly enough he says.

Funky Flair & Sketchy Boards Challenges

Hello & Welcome

Well its been an absolutely hectic last few weeks here, not only have I been trying to get DT
projects completed but I thought it would be great to play along
with a quilting swap, will share that at a later date.

June is also my yearly scrapbook retreat that I host and organise, so yes its been a busy few weeks.

First up I have the Flair Challenge, Eve Rae the owner, always creates such a beautiful mood board and I loved the peach and grey tones in this one.

MY TAKE

I have used some lovely products from Scrapmatts, click here to check them out. you can check out product use, they not only beautiful chipboard but I'm loving their little templates which I have used here to some of my background.

Here is a close up showing you what to do with those unwanted foam pieces that you may have lying around.  These were bright pinks, yellows and blues.  Not something I would probably ever use in their original state but I was more than happy how they turned out.

Next up is the Sketchyboards Challenge

Thought the sketch was quite cute along with the beautiful inspirational colours.

To create my background on this I have used a beautiful brick stamp from Magnolia along with Prima mists.  I have double cut the banner out and over lapped them slightly before raising them with foam tape.  Again some more lovely products from Scrapmatts and micro beads, who ever said products can be old.

Both pics are of my daughter, she was a gorgeous child and has turned into a beautiful young lady!!!!

Thanks for looking and I hope you also have some time to play along with these challenges.

Bye for now!!!!
